The valley does not end at the estate walls. It continues into the craft villages of Ubud, the sacred temple courtyards, and the wild interior of an island still shaped by tradition. From morning rituals at the river to volcanic treks before sunrise, the days here move between stillness and adventure. Every experience is arranged privately, at the pace and hour that suit the day.
Blessing Rituals
The experience begins with the offerings themselves, coconut leaves folded by hand into traditional Balinese designs, guided by locals who have made them every morning of their lives. Once prepared, a priest leads the ceremony at the estate’s temple; holy water, prayers, and a stillness that arrives without being asked. The ritual is as personal as the intention behind it.
Wellness
In Balinese tradition, mornings at the river are devoted to purification and renewal. The yoga deck sits at that threshold, where the Ayung’s sacred current meets the first hour of the day, and the practice draws on both.
Cooking Class
The estate’s chef leads the session: mortar and pestle, fresh spice, stone-ground sambal, and the techniques behind traditional Indonesian cooking. Each step is hands-on, unhurried, and guided by someone who has cooked this way their entire life. The class ends where it should: at the table, with a multi-course meal prepared by your own hands.
Ubud Rice Fields Walk
Working rice terraces, hand-carved irrigation channels, and small shrines where offerings appear each morning before the first light. A guided walk through a system of cultivation the Balinese have practised for a thousand years. Still alive, still tended, still producing.
Cycling
The routes follow village roads and terrace ridgelines, flat where the paddies are, steep where the valley drops. A local guide leads every ride, each route tailored to the terrain you want, the pace you set, and the time you have.
Jungle Trekking
The trails lead through bamboo groves, past ancient ficus trees and hidden waterfalls, with forest temples appearing where the canopy breaks. A local Balinese guide reads the landscape: the birdlife, the river crossings, the paths that only feet have kept open.
Mt. Batur Sunrise Trek
The trail starts before dawn and crosses a landscape that belongs to the volcano: lava fields, venting steam, and rock still warm underfoot. The reward is the summit at first light: Agung, Lake Batur, and the sea laid out below.

Pilgrim Temple Voyage
The route follows a chain of temples still in daily use, stone courtyards, lotus pools, and offerings renewed each morning. A local guide leads the journey, reading the architecture and the rituals that have shaped this part of Bali for centuries

Blessing Rituals
Beyond the estate, Bali’s sacred water temples offer a glimpse into the island’s living spiritual traditions. Through age-old blessing and purification ceremonies, holy water, prayer and offerings hold a central place in Balinese Hindu life, reflecting an enduring connection between faith, nature and daily ritual.
Sacred Monkey Forest
A forest of banyan and nutmeg trees, three fourteenth-century temples, and more than a thousand long-tailed macaques who treat both as their own. The paths wind through moss-covered stone and tangled roots, a sanctuary that belongs to the animals first and the visitors second.
Elephant Park
A short drive north to Taro, where Sumatran elephants rescued from near extinction now live within a forested sanctuary. Mason’s Elephant Park holds Asia’s first Gold Certification for elephant welfare: feeding, bathing, and time spent alongside them.
Jungle Buggies
One and two-seater buggies through rainforest tracks, river crossings, and terrain the roads never reach. Several routes across Bali, each arranged to suit the level of adventure.

White Water Rafting
Starting from the upper reaches of the Ayung, the route descends through carved rock walls, steep rapids, and a gorge thick with overhanging jungle. A river known from the valley above , understood entirely differently at water level.

Batik Painting Class
Wax, dye, and a process that rewards patience above all else. The class follows the traditional method: drawing by hand with a copper canting tool, layering colour, and waiting for the pattern to reveal itself. A craft UNESCO has recognised as part of humanity’s cultural heritage.

Silversmith Workshop
The villages around Ubud have worked silver for generations. A tradition passed through families, not factories. The class pairs you with a local artisan, working from raw silver to finished piece, shaping, hammering, and filing by hand until something wearable emerges.

Sound Healing
The session takes place at Pyramids of Chi: a purpose-built sound healing sanctuary near Ubud. Gongs, singing bowls, and tuned chimes fill the pyramidal structures, led by a practitioner trained in vibrational therapy, in a setting where stillness comes naturally.

Balinese Traditional Dance Class
The hands tell the story. The eyes follow. The body learns last. A local instructor teaches the classical Balinese forms step by step, a tradition passed down through centuries of practice, and still taught the way it always has been.
